The Year 14 Law class visited Baker McKenzie to gain an insight into the diverse roles within the legal sector.  Helena Woodward the HR Manager gave the students an introduction to Baker McKenzie by sharing the business story with them and informed of what the business does on a global scale.

 

Students were given a tour of the business and were given the opportunity to have Hot Seat Interviews with eight employees who work within Legal Services and hold roles such as a Legal Professional, Paralegal, Professional Support Lawyers and Corporate Support.  Students identified the diverse range of qualifications that employees have and it also highlighted to them that there are many more pathways available following the study of a Law degree than just the traditional route.

 

Students also enjoyed the opportunity to see the layout of a modern business, they were particularly enthused by the 'Thinking Tank' room.
