Extra-Curricular Activities

Netball Club

  • 5 teams compete in the Lisburn Development Leagues and attend practice each week.

  • 1 team competes in the Northern Ireland League and attend practice twice a week.

 

Boys Football Club

  • Yr8-11 Football teams compete in our local Lisburn & Castlereagh league. The U16 & U18 football teams compete in the Belfast and Northern Ireland Cup competitions. After school practice runs from September to mid-November and then from mid- February to Easter for ALL pupils.

Girls Football Club

  • Girls football teams compete in our local Lisburn & Castlereagh league, as well as various IFA run competitions throughout the year. 

  • Practices run after school from September to mid-November and then from mid- February to Easter for ALL pupils

Rugby Club

  • We work with local clubs (Lisburn RFC & Instonians RFC) to develop interest in rugby and provide a pathway to club competition. School teams are fielded in friendlies and blitz competitions, where there is sufficient interest within year groups. 

  • After school practice runs from September to mid-November and then from mid- February to Easter for ALL pupils.

 

Basketball Club

  • Junior and Senior school basketball clubs run weekly. We work in partnership with Phoenix Basketball to provide a pathway to club level. We compete in local blitz competitions and play friendlies with other local schools.

 

Gaelic Football

  • Gaelic runs after school on a weekly basis and a squad will compete in friendly fixtures and blitz competitions against other schools.

 

Fitness Club / Couch to 5K / Cross Country Club

  • A popular and friendly club appealing to both pupils and staff who want to improve their aerobic fitness. The club focuses on improving fitness through gradually increasing distances covered and reducing the time taken on a variety of courses around the school grounds. Competitive runners can be entered for local, district and regional competitions.
