This year, one of the areas of focus in Fort Hill Integrated College is attendance. The Department of Education has issued figures indicating the impact of poor attendance on learning.

In Fort Hill Integrated College we offer support to pupils whose attendance is below our target of 92%.

This year we also want to reward those pupils with 100% attendance. To this end, every month pupils with 100% attendance will be entered into a draw to win a prize. Prizes will be given out in each year group and some have been sponsored by local businesses.
For some parents, 90% may seem like an acceptable level of attendance, but the reality is that 90% attendance means that your child will miss half a school day each week or 19 days of school during the school year - that's nearly 4 school weeks.
