The Parent Teacher Association

Chairperson of Fort Hill Integrated College PTA:  Fiona Rollock

The PTA was formed over 25 years ago and has been actively engaged in raising funds to support the the school in many ways, including purchasing equipment and part-financing school trips.

Recently its role has become more varied and includes 3 main strands:-

  1. A voice for parents – an opportunity to discuss new policies and strategies

  2. Support for school events such as providing refreshments at our Open Evening, the Year 8 Informal Parents’ Evening and the Carol Service

  3. Fundraising events such as Fort Hill’s Got Talent, a Ballot, Table Quiz, Fireside Quiz and a Bag Pack.

With these funds we have been able to redecorate the Assembly Hall, provide a new Trophy Cabinet and purchase a defibrillator for our new Sports Hall. In all these ventures we acknowledge and appreciate the support of the Board of Governors, the Principal, staff teaching and non-teaching, parents, pupils and friends of the school.

While most of the funds collected by the PTA go towards providing school related equipment, we also support local charities. In recent years ‘Stepping Stones’, Disability Sports and Autism NI, Lisburn have all benefited from contributions donated by the PTA.

We encourage you to become involved in the PTA, bring your ideas or suggestions to us and join our committee.  New members are always made most welcome.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the PTA or if you have further enquiries please contact school office on 02892663670.
