Sports Clubs


A variety of our current sports teams.

Extra-Curricular Activities

Netball Club

  • 5 teams compete in the Lisburn Development Leagues and attend practice each week.

  • 1 team competes in the Northern Ireland League and attend practice twice a week.


Football Club

  • 5 Football teams (U12, U13, U14, U15 & U16) compete in both the Lisburn leagues as well as the Belfast and Northern Ireland Cup competitions. After school practice runs from September to mid-November and then from mid- February to Easter for ALL pupils.


Rugby Club

  • Teams operate across all age groups from Year 8 to Year 12.

  • All teams compete in friendlies against local schools as well as Ulster High Schools Competitions and blitz days.

  • Practices run weekly from September to Easter.



  • Hockey runs as an extra-curricular activity from September – mid-November. Friendly fixtures against other schools are arranged throughout the year.


Badminton Club

  • All pupils are welcome to come along and develop their badminton skills at a weekly practice.


Basketball Club

  • Junior and Senior school basketball clubs run weekly in Term 2 with consistently strong attendances. Both Under 14 and Under 16 squads compete in local blitz competitions and play friendlies with other local schools. 


Tag Rugby (GIRLS)

  • This is the most recent activity to be embedded in the girls’ PE curriculum at Key Stage 4 due to popular demand. It is also offered as an extra-curricular activity in the Spring time.


Gaelic Football

  • Gaelic runs after school on a weekly basis and a squad will compete in friendly fixtures and blitz competitions against other Integrated schools.


Girls Football

  • Football has continued to increase in popularity with our girls and they competed in both 7-a-side and 5-a-side Northern Ireland regional qualifying tournaments. The IFA appointed a coach to work with the girls for a 4 week period after school which was heavily subscribed. Due to the popularity girls football has now also been embedded on the curriculum for Yr10 classes.


Girls Fitness

  • Boxercise and Zumba have been introduced in recent years to add to the variety of fitness training carried out in curricular PE. Fitness training is also run as an after school activity where the girls can avail of the fitness suite as well as participate in a range of different training methods.


Fitness Club / Couch to 5K / Cross Country Club

  • A popular and friendly club appealing to both pupils and staff who want to improve their aerobic fitness. The club focuses on improving fitness through gradually increasing distances covered and reducing the time taken on a variety of courses around the school grounds. Competitive runners can be entered for local, district and regional competitions.


Volleyball Club

  • Volleyball club runs during the Winter months and has been popular with both boys and girls at Key Stage 4 in recent years. We have competed at blitz events against other schools.
