Aims
The Music Department aims to develop pupils’ musicality through increasing their understanding and control of the elements of music, and also to maintain and stimulate pupil curiosity, interest and enjoyment in music.
Curriculum
KS3 - Years 8-10 (two periods of music per week).
Pupils learn to:

Compose;

Perform (on the recorder and keyboard);

Listen to and respond to Music.
KS4 - Years 11-12

Instrumental Tuition
All pupils are given the opportunity to receive instrumental tuition.

NB All Year 8 pupils are issued with a letter about instrumental tuition at the start of September.
